The Claude 4 generation includes Claude Opus 4.1, which is the most capable model in terms of reasoning, long-context processing, and advanced coding, with a context window up to 200,000 tokens.

There’s also Claude Sonnet 4, a high-performance model that balances speed and intelligence, designed to handle complex tasks efficiently.

On the earlier side, Anthropic also supports Claude Haiku variants (like Haiku 3.5) that prioritize speed and lower cost per token, making them suitable for applications where latency and efficiency are key.

In terms of pricing, Claude follows usage‑based costs per million tokens. For example, Opus 4.1 is priced at $15 for input tokens and $75 for output tokens per million.

Sonnet 4 has lower pricing: $3 for input and $15 for output per million tokens.

Anthropic also supports “prompt caching” so repeated prompts can be cheaper to run.

Several earlier models have been deprecated: Claude 2, Claude 2.1, and older Claude 3 models (Sonnet 3.x, Opus 3) are being phased out.

According to Anthropic, these are being replaced by newer Claude 4 variants.
